Bridge Cottage Heritage Centre hosts various exhibitions here throughout the year.
Between 21st May – 7th April 2018 we hosted the ‘Women of Wealden Suffrage’ exhibitions which explored and celebrated inspiring women over the last 100 years since gaining the right to vote.
During the 24th March – 7th April 2018 we hosted an exhibition exploring the History of Uckfield High Street – this was a popular events with hundreds of people attending and over £1000 raised in donations for the Uckfield & District Preservation Society.
A temporary exhibition on the history of the Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society (UBCS) on Saturday 2nd September in commemoration of the 190th Anniversary. The Society was formed in 1827.
31st March – 1st April 2017 Bridge Cottage Heritage Centre in Uckfield hosted a Wedding Dress Exhibition in 2017 displaying 16 wedding dresses spanning the last 8 decades, each with their own beautiful story, sharing love, life and the individuality of each of the brides that wore them. People in their hundreds flocked to see this unique exhibition over the two day open period.
Our first exhibition, after the completed restoration works here at Bridge Cottage Heritage Centre, opened on Monday 20th February 2017. It offered hundreds of visitors a glimpse at life during both World Wars.
