Description
Presentation by Dr David Rudling
In the first part of this talk we will review some of the available evidence for the different religions (Roman, Eastern and Local) that were followed in Roman Sussex. We will then consider the various types of Roman-period burials that have been found in Sussex. But do such burials represent the only methods that were available for disposing of the dead in the Roman countryside?
Why do we not find many more Roman burials?
