We’re busy in the Bridge Cottage Heritage Hub today, archiving some 19th century ledgers and diaries. On this day in 1875 the weather was apparently quite similar to today – “wet, fine misty rain” according to Mr George St John Smith of Haywards Heath. #throwbackthursday

Atmospheric Halloween Event
This was a wonderful, atmospheric event. Bridge Cottage was the perfect venue for some spooky activities. The main hall fire was lit, we had illuminated pumpkins on show, a Tudor witch and plenty of Halloween craft activities.
