Love Letters From The Front Line, 1915
Look at these amazing letters written by a WW1 soldier from the front during 1915 to his sweetheart in Uckfield. These have been kindly loaned to us by a local private collector for our forthcoming exhibition on the World Wars entitled ‘Lest we Forget’. Come and read these and see

We’re busy in the Bridge Cottage Heritage Hub today, archiving some 19th century ledgers and diaries. On this day in 1875 the weather was apparently quite similar to today – “wet, fine misty rain” according to Mr George St John Smith of Haywards Heath. #throwbackthursday
