Our Education officers Maria & Nicola visited Sussex Support Service at Victoria Pavilion on 20th July to deliver a session for their members using our new Memory Box Scheme. The Memory Box scheme is used as a reminiscence aid for people living with Dementia.

The group really enjoyed looking through our ‘Childhood Toys’ box which has a collection of items dating from the 1930’s right up to the 1960’s. It was a fantastic trip down memory lane as people shared their own memories of playing with the toys. Nicola and Maria enjoyed hearing the childhood memories of group members during the war years, especially air raid experiences and rationing.
